My Message to Carnivores....Less is More.

Picture

This pic to your left states:
'With health care in the news, we are reminded of the billions of dollars that could be saved each year if we educated ourselves on the power of a whole-food, plant-based diet.  We see the concept as so simple and comprehensive that it's mind-boggling more more aren't taking it seriously'.

So I imagine you think I am about to do some major persuading today........trying to get you to see why eating dead animals is so not healthy.

Wrong.

I am here to share some very considerate thoughts to all of my readers who are carnivores!  First & foremost, you don't have to be vegan or even vegetarian to be a regular reader of my website.  This site is for everyone who wants to be inspired, educated and get healthy along side of me!  It's been a very long journey for me and my capacity for compassion 'for all' is growing by the minute!!!!!  By the way, I was once a carnivore too.  My journey to becoming a vegan took about two years of trial & error, 'cheating' with dairy or fish, learning and a lot of 'getting educated'.  It was a process and that process has genuinely changed my entire outlook on life.  Yes, it has had that profound of an impact.

There are so many ways to better your health and 'going vegan' overnight - in a week, month or year is sure fantastic but for many, completely unrealistic.  If you celebrate Meatless Monday's, your amazing!!!! By not eating meat for one day, you are saving so many animals lives!!!!

If you simply cut out chicken, you alone will be saving thousands of chickens lives.

If you cut out red meat for JUST ONE DAY, you are saving animals lives and bettering your health.

Every single bit of effort on your part......matters!

I just want to encourage all of you that small changes are rewarding.  They are commendable!!!

People, carnivores that I personally know, say "I could never go vegan, it seems impossible".  You don't have to 'go vegan' but every small change you make, you take a step towards bettering our world and saving animals from cruel and unjust hourly punishment.  I have a friend who just gave up red meat but he cannot part with chicken.  Now some vegans would criticize him for continuing to eat chicken.  I say 'WAY TO GO'!!!!!!  You just made a difference in our world simply by incorporating MORE greens/fruits and LESS meat - bravo!!!!!!

If you insist on eating meat, please at least consider switching to grass fed, organic meat where the animals are kept on farms that do not house gestation crates (for pigs).  Do your research.

What you put into your body really matters.  It's mind blowing!!!!!!  If you fill your body with diseased meat, sugar, processed food in general - you WILL end up dis-eased.  there is no doubt about it! I DID!  It may not be happening now but it will.

Gosh, I always digress a bit - haha.

I am here to applaud you!  Yes, all of you who are making any step towards change - because less meat equals more greens/fruit and this all equates to a healthier YOU.

Anyone taking control of their health, doing their due diligence in finding out the 'facts' about meat consumption in the United States is to be heralded as far as this girl is concerned!

You are welcome on this website to ask questions, share feedback and feel comfortable in the choices that you make each day.  You won't be judged here...at least not by the writer of this site.

This isn't a website that welcomes negativity or debates rather if you have questions, please ask away and if I don't know the answer, I will find it for you via the web, book,  trusted Naturopath or Nutritionist (although the latter is vegan - smiley face).

Much love to you all!  Make a difference in your life - you can and should!!! Make an impact somehow! Leave your mark!

Girl Gone Vegan,

Kelly Lynn
