Health Happy - Choose your thoughts & words wisely
Hi ya'll!
Just another blog post regarding being 'Health Happy'. I had written a previous post titled 'Your Body, Your Choice' which falls along the same lines but I felt the 'nudge' to elaborate on this topic.
A friend & I were talking about the fact that 'your tongue is your rudder'. It's a powerful biblical verse and this principle is applied/discussed in thousands of books & blogs in various forms. Basically, the message is to choose your thoughts and words wisely because 'What you think about, you WILL bring about'. If you think you are a failure often enough, you will be one...promise. If you speak outloud that you are never going to heal over & over again, you can bet that you won't ever heal. If you are negative most of the time, odds are you are attracting negativity all around you.
What you think about and what you say literally comes to life...often. Take a step back and think about where you are at in your life right now. What have you been thinking about the last couple of days or weeks (if you can recall) and how are you speaking in conversations about yourself & others? Now go back and look where you are again - your existence mirrors your words/thoughts.
This leads me to ask all of us to pay attention to our decision making about our food, medical choices, who we choose to love, how we love, our careers and what our world currently looks like. Once we make the decisions that are best suited for each of us, speak positively about it! It's actually hard to do but give it a shot and soon it will become a habit. If you want to heal your body, make the decisions that God or your own faith has guided you to make and then say outloud and often 'Thank you for the healing' - 'Thank you for this amazing body, I feel great'!!! Soon, you will be feeling better. If you don't believe me, try it. You need to do this consistently for it to take effect.
This quote applies to my message to all of you today:
Look closely at the present you are constructing: it should look like the future you are dreaming - Alice Walker
Listen to your instincts - that deep inner knowing which to some is their faith and to others, their universal guide as they refer to. Listen & act accordingly.
What you do and say today - will be reflected in the days to come.
In respect to your diet, do what is best for you. Don't be vegan because someone else thinks you should (like me for instance). If you are going to be vegan, do so for your own personal reasons that align with your moral or ethical code. If veganism is not for you, then it is not for you - stand confident in your own decisions and who you are. When you DO make your decision about anything in your life, bring it to life with your thoughts & words.
Your medical path to healing needs to be your own. What might help heal me, may in turn harm you. I know when you have a challenging health condition without well documented answers, you tend to grasp at straws. I did it myself for a very long time. You hear of someone getting better on a specific medication or diet and you jump on board....yet get worse. Do not do this b/c you will overwhelm yourself and your body - leaving you worse off then you started as demonstrated by yours truly - repeatedly -until I found my own voice and honored my own choices. Always take a step back & decide what is best for you. Once you do, start thinking & seeing yourself as 'healed'. I am working on this myself and need to improve my words.
I genuinely believe to get what you want in life - in love - career - health - mind/body - you have to first know what it is you DO want and then you need to mold that vision into your mind - and then out with your words. God willing, you will see your dreams literally come to life. Speak as if it 'is' and it shall be.
The problem is that we waste so much time. We waste time with the wrong person because we care about them and although they may not be right for us, we'd rather not be alone, the wrong career because it's easier than doing what we really want to, the wrong healing path b/c a doctor said 'it's all they have to offer' and your tired of searching.
We settle and before we know it, we are sitting in a kitchen nook 10 years later.....looking back on all that we wasted time on. Let's not do that to ourselves. Seriously! Start today. A year from now, you will have wished you started today (another brilliant quote). Think about what it is you really want so very badly - today and every day moving forward - Speak about it - Thank God for it - Keep the vision in your mind - and Go Get it as if it is already here.
All the best!!!!
